Nolan ran out when he heard Stephen. He knew Stephen must have seen Jeremy.

"They can't meet!"

He held Stephen back tightly, saying, "Sir, calm down! Jeremy is dead! You're seeing things!"

"I'm not seeing things! It's real! | saw him just now! He went into the elevator!" Stephen argued as he tried to

free himself from Nolan's grasp. "Let go of me!"

Nolan cried, "Doctor, nurse! Hurry!"

The doctors and nurses ran over to hold Stephen back. They knew Jeremy was dead and strongly believed

Stephen was hallucinating due to the guilt and pressure.

One of the doctors even brought sedatives over, trying to calm him down.

"Let go of me!"

Stephen was shocked and scared when he saw the syringe. He knew he saw Jeremy earlier and refused to let the

doctors and nurses hold him back.

"I am Stephen Quinn. | order you to let go of me!"

He used his identity to pressure them, forcing them to release him.

Upon being freed, Stephen got into the elevator and went downstairs. Nolan, the doctors, and the nurses

accompanied him along the way.

When Stephen arrived at the lobby, he did not spot Jeremy anywhere due to the overwhelming crowd. He ran to

the exit, yet Jeremy was nowhere in sight. It was as if he was really hallucinating just now.

As he squatted down on the stairs, looking disappointed and helpless, one of the doctors injected him with the

sedatives. Seconds later, Stephen lost consciousness and was carried onto a bed.

The doctor pointed at his head and said to Nolan, "We suspect something is wrong with him here."

Nolan argued, “Nonsense. He's just too tired."

He was the only one who knew that Stephen was not hallucinating and had actually seen Jeremy because Jeremy

was still alive.

He looked at everyone at the scene and said, "Keep your mouths sealed. Spreading false rumors is against the

law. Understood?"

He warned the doctors and nurses not to spread rumors because he did not want them to think something was

wrong with Stephen's mental state. If so, Stephen could no longer govern Riveria.

Later that evening, Stephen woke up. He felt calmer after a good sleep, and as he recalled what happened

earlier, he was certain he was not hallucinating.

Jeremy was alive, which led him to think about Snow. Snow was dead once, but Ethan saved her.

"It must be him!" Stephen immediately thought of Ethan. "He attended Jeremy's funeral, so he must know

Jeremy, and they must be close! He must have saved Jeremy!"

With that, he decided to meet Ethan again. He had to find Jeremy, apologize, and bring him back to his side. He

also wanted Jeremy to expose the mastermind behind it all.

He quickly booked a ticket to Riveria. The next day, he arrived at Ethan's mansion.

When Ethan opened the door, he saw Stephen sitting on the stone bench further away.

"You just got up. Why don't you rest for two more days?"

Stephen said grimly, "No, thanks. Are you surprised to see me?"

"I knew you would come, and | know why you came."

Ethan left the door open and then went back into the living room.

His voice cfrom inside. "It's because of Jeremy."

Stephen strode inside, asking, "Is Jeremy still alive?!"

"He's dead. You watched him die," Ethan said as he sat down and looked Stephen in the eye.

"Don't lie to me. | saw him at the hospital yesterday," Stephen said, his tone agitated.

"In that case, you must be seeing things. You've lost your mind," Ethan explained.
