Finally, after a hectic drive, Calvin managed to get Felicity to the hospital, where they were immediately ushered into a private room.
Thankfully, after a thorough check-up, it turned out there was nothing serious. It was just a bit of a chillpounded by the wear and tear of a long-haul flight she hadn't quite recovered from.
The doctor administered sfever-reducing medication and suggested they observe her for a bit longer to make sure she was all clear before heading home.

He scowled, answering the call with a furrowed brow, "I've got an emergency, won't make it back to the office... What do you mean, thepany will collapse without me?... I've already told you I can't make it, are you deaf?" Felicity was justing around when she caught the tail end of his rant. She wasn't surprised in the least.
Truth be told, Calvin wasn't known for his patience. He simply chose to show a more playful side around her.
Trying to shift her position, Felicity attempted to sit up, her movements sluggish.
From one moment to the next, Calvin's voice switched from raging storm to soothing calm, "You're awake? Lethelp you." "Thirsty," she managed to croak out, her throat feeling like she had swallowed a piece of coarse sandpaper.
"I'll get you swarm water. Don't move," he said, quickly moving to fetch a cup.
After a sip, her throat felt a tad better, but not by much.
She hadn't anticipated the illness hitting her this hard, assuming it was just a regular cold...

Felicity, having spent a while longer at the hospital, was eager to get back to her cozy bed.
Trying not to worry Calvin, she did her best to appear normal, despite feeling lightheaded and weak, pounded by not having eaten all day Even if her mind was willing, her body was not. en.kikistories When they finally arrived at the small detached house, Calvin was the first out of the car, circling around to open her door, only to find Felicity had dozed off again.
Used to seeing her full of life and energy, Calvin was taken aback by the serene sight of her curled up and sleeping. The moonlight filtering through the car window cast a soft glow on her face, highlighting her delicate features. en.kikistories Taking a deep breath, Calvin pushed aside his wandering thoughts and gently lifted her from the car. The doctor had given the all-clear, after all. A good rest was what she needed. en.kikistories "Jeez, a trip back hand you've lost weight," he muttered, thankful for the facial recognition lock that spared him the hassle of fumbling for keys.
But then, a shadow loomed ahead- Calvin looked up, startled.
"What's wrong with her?" Miles hadn't expected to rush over only to be greeted by this scene: Felicity, cradled in Calvin's arms, a frown creasing her brow even in sleep, clearly not resting easy.
"She's sick," Calvin said coldly, shifting to block Miles' attempt to take her. "Step aside." His demeanor was far from the friendly banter back in Eldorria City, verging on hostile towards Miles, who was, admittedly, a few years his junior and a rival in love.
Miles, not wanting to cause a scene, simply extended his hand, "Hand her over to me." But Calvin stepped back, locking eyes with him, "Have you sorted out your issues with your ex?"
