Chapter 120
Yvonne gave a small nod. "Yeah. I've been into traditional painting since | was a kid. It's the one thing I really
care about," she said, her eyes brightening.
"Everything else is just a hobby, but traditional painting? I'm serious about pursuing it further at Creybia
University."
Diana jumped in with excitement. "Yvonne's got sreal talent when it comes to traditional painting!" she
said, grinning.
"I took her to an art exhibit a while back, and we ran into Mr. Carter. He couldn't stop raving about her. He even
wanted to make her his student!"
She felt pretty confident that no one else at the table had been to that exhibit, so she could spin the story
however she wanted.
Besides, Yvonne had caught the eye of an expert. Okay, maybe it wasn't Simon Carter himself, but his

Priscilla's eyes lit up. "Mr. Carter? He's a big nin traditional painting over in Havaria!"
Years ago, she had heard that Simon wasn't taking on any more apprentices. If Yvonne could manage to become
his student, she'd be his last apprentice-now that would be something to brag about.
Priscilla didn't have outrageously high standards for a daughter-in-law. The Savage family didn't need financial
help or business connections. All she wanted was someone beautiful, smart, talented, and socially poised-
someone who would elevate her status among the other wives.
So far, she was quite pleased with Yvonne's poise and demeanor. Since Arthur didn't want to go against
Preston's arrangements, Priscilla was already planning to announce the engagement between the Savage and
Henderson families later that evening.
"Yvonne, this is my first tmeeting you, but | didn't cprepared with a proper gift..."
Priscilla smiled, removing the diamond bracelet from her wrist. She took Yvonne's hand and gently slipped it on.
"This bracelet is worth one million dollars. It's not too valuable in the grand schof things, but it's my
favorite.
"Even though we're just meeting for the first time, | feel a real connection between us, so I'd like you to have it."
Yvonne was momentarily stunned by the gesture, so her voice was barely above a whisper. "Thank you, Ma'am!"
On the surface, she kept her composure, but inside, a storm of excitement was brewing.
Marrying into a wealthy family was the dream she had held close for as long as she could remember. And the
man? Gavin Savage-the one she had fallen for at first sight.
She felt like she must have racked up a mountain of good deeds in a past life to deserve such fortune.
"Ma'am, | promise I'll treasure this bracelet!"
In her mind, Yvonne was already painting a picture of her future. As Gavin's fiancée, she would command
attention at First Academy, a shining star in a sea of students.
And Gavin, brilliant and ambitious, was surely headed for Creybia University. Once she joined him there, they
would share every moment of university life— studying, laughing, dreaming. Then, after graduation, they would
have the grandest wedding...

As she imagined it all, Yvonne felt certain that even the princesses in their castles wouldn't know the kind of
happiness that awaited her.
Priscilla's smile widened, clearly pleased with how Yvonne handled the gift. A less sophisticated girl might have
let her excitement spill over, risking gossip and scrutiny, but Yvonne remained composed and gracious. This only
solidified Priscilla's belief that she had made the right choice.
Of course, Priscilla's approval wasn't based solely on this brief encounter. Long before the banquet, she had
ensured Yvonne was thoroughly investigated.
Had Yvonne not met her expectations, this gathering wouldn't even have taken place, and the Henderson family
would have missed this golden opportunity.
With a warm smile, Priscilla turned to Yvonne. "Why don't you go ahead and have something to eat? When Gavin
arrives, I'll make sure to introduce you two."
"Thank you, ma'am! Please, don't letkeep you from your business," Yvonne replied.
As soon as Priscilla walked away, Diana turned to Yvonne, a satisfied smile on her face.
